Cone Harvesting Helicropper has all our own equipment, manpower and expertise to carry out any size Aerial Cone Collection required, with any coniferous species required in North America. If you have a requirement, we certainly have picked it...not just say we can. Seedlots numbers can be supplied. Once we have an agreement /contract and the cliental wish list, we will contractually locate your specific seed needs for the seedzone and bioclimatic sub-zone described, evaluate the crop, assess the seed, provide you written reports, then monitor the crops to maturity, providing further assessment reports accordingly, then aerial rake the trees with our gentle “Chilson / Drader cone rakes" so we can come back in five years and pick the same trees. We don’t believe in topping trees. Once the aerial cone collection is in progress, we monitor the product, clean, bag and tag the cones with pre-assigned collection registration numbers. We will deliver the end result to your interim storage or seed extraction plant accordingly. In B.C. we will provide the interim storage and final delivery to Surrey Seed Centre. We do not provide interim storage in Alberta or any other Province or USA collection with the exception of B.C. Our family business has over 30 years of experience with aerial cone collections. We were with the inventor and pioneer of aerial cone harvesting, Mr. Charles Chilson, when this technique was developed. Helicropper has taken it to new levels of a complete turnkey service and assuring the client of complete satisfaction of the end result.
